I can’t believe we are almost halfway through 2024, but I am looking forward to June and a few new things happening at Home of Beauty that I wanted to tell you about.  

You all love the immediate results and effects of Derma-planning, but also love the relaxing treatment Facials from Medik8, so with immediate effect you can include Derma-planning as part of a Medik8 Facial routine.  It won’t replace anything, just enhance your facial by removing the dead skin cells, vellus hair and clear the pores of bacteria to limit breakouts. This option makes the Enhanced Medik8 Facials the ultimate, instant result treatment with the best of both worlds – relaxation and a treatment procedure.  There are details of how to book within the Bulletin, or you can message me and I will try and juggle your next treatment to include Derma-planning.

Micro-Needling is available at Home Beauty, but is not available to book online yet, so if you would like to book an appointment please let me know and I will take care of everything for you. I have listed the treatment options within the Bulletin to remind you of the amazing benefits and options of Micro-Needling and look forward to seeing you for your recommended first of three treatments. One question I get asked more than anything is ‘Which Facial shall I book?’ so this month I have dedicated a section to explaining which facials you should choose for certain concerns which I hope helps you with your next booking. What is Micro-Needling?

Micro-needling is designed to stimulate your skins natural ability to produce collagen formation of up to 400% creating healthier skin, it will improve the appearance of acne scars, hyper-pigmentation, stretch marks, skin texturre as well as, fine lines and wrinkles. The repair process of your skin is accelerated through the creation of microscopic channels, which also alows products to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin resulting in better outcomes.

How does Micro-needling work?

The concept of micro-needling is based upon the skin’s ability to naturally repair itself when injured. Immediately following an injury, our skin begins the process of dissolving tissue damage and replacing it with new cells. Micro-needling allows for controlled induction of the skins self-repair process by creating precise, micro-injuries in the skin, which automatically triggers new collagen synthesis without causing scar tissue formation… it doesn’t hurt I promise.

How many treatments will i need?

Treatments are determined based on goals and health of your skin. It is recommended for most clients to receive 1 – 3 treatments spaced at about 4 – 6 weeks apart. For clients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-ageing, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 3 – 6 sessions at 4-week intervals, but once your initial goals have been reached with normally 1-3 treatments, you can incorporate a session once every 3 – 4 months. I alternate micro-needling with my normal facial peel, so one month I have a peel and the next micro-needling etc.

Standard Micro-needling Facial – £100

The skin is cleansed and prepped for a full face micro-needling treatment to improve your skin health, this includes 10 minutes neck and shoulder massage whilst a mild numbing cream is taking effect.

Once your treatment is complete, products are then used to penetrate the micro-channels created and protection is used and recommended for continuous use.

(A home care set can be purchased for £32 to enhance recovery and protection).

Ultimate Micro-needling Facial – £165

The skin is cleansed and prepped, Derma-planning is then completed to smooth and clear the skin surface for a full face micro-needling treatment to improve your skin health, this includes a 10 minute neck and shoulder massage whilst a mild numbing cream is taking effect. A Bio-Cellulose Recovery Mask is applied to intensely hydrate and soothe the skin and is paired with Massage Cryotherapy Globes to cool, calm and refresh the complexion. To ensure your skin has absorbed all the mask benefits a hand and arm massage completes this results driven facial.

Once your treatment is complete, products are used to penetrate the micro-channels created and protection is used and recommended for continuous use.
