I can’t believe we are almost halfway through 2024, but I am looking forward to June and a few new things happening at Home of Beauty that I wanted to tell you about.  

You all love the immediate results and effects of Derma-planning, but also love the relaxing treatment Facials from Medik8, so with immediate effect you can include Derma-planning as part of a Medik8 Facial routine.  It won’t replace anything, just enhance your facial by removing the dead skin cells, vellus hair and clear the pores of bacteria to limit breakouts. One question I get asked more than anything is ‘Which Facial shall I book?’ so this month I have dedicated a section to explaining which facials you should choose for certain concerns which I hope helps you with your next booking. What is Micro-Needling?

Micro-Needling is designed to stimulate your skins natural ability to produce collagen formation creating healthier skin and can be used to improve the appearance of acne scars, hyper-pigmentation, stretch marks, skin texture as well as, fine lines and wrinkles. The repair process of your skin is accelerated through the creation of microscopic channels, which also allow products to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin resulting in better outcomes.

How does Micro-Needling work?

The concept of micro-needling is based upon the skin’s natural ability to repair itself when injured. Immediately following and injury our skin begins the process of dissolving tissue damage and replacing it with new cells. Micro-Needling allows for controlled induction of the skins self-repair process by creating precise, micro-injuries in the skin, which automatically triggers new collagen synthesis without causing scar tissue formation.

What are the benefits?

There are numerous benefits because new collagen production can reverse years of sun damage, improve the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks and hyper-pigmentation as well as, enhance the overall appearance of ageing skin.

What is the downtime after a procedure?

How many treatments will I need?
